Amy Minchin is a freelance business and features writer and editor. She is also a communications consultant providing strategic public relations, writing, editing and content management support to corporations, small businesses and nonprofit organizations. With more than 20 years of experience, she has worked with local, regional and national publications and clients in financial services, healthcare, social services, higher education, tourism and multi-family housing. 

Amy’s writing has frequently appeared in UWF Connection magazine, visitpensacola.com and visitflorida.com. She began her career with Birmingham, Alabama-based Regions Financial Corporation, where she worked in corporate communications for 13 years. Her experience includes internal and executive communications, media relations, publication writing and editing, and corporate social responsibility. 

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Samford University, and completed graduate coursework in advertising and public relations at the University of Alabama. 

She is a graduate of Leadership Pensacola and a volunteer in local schools and Girl Scouts. Previously a member of PRSA, IABC and PRCA, she is a past president and four-time board member of the Pensacola Chapter of Florida Public Relations Association.

Amy enjoys reading, cooking, travel, watching college sports, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
